Reckless Games is an enemies-to-lovers short story, and it was originally published in the Hot Summer School Nights anthology. It has since been expanded and published as the 2.5th book in the Rixon High series. This short story can be read as a standalone romance, although if you’re like me and enjoy knowing all of the backstories, I would suggest reading the series from the beginning. Just know it’s only a suggestion.
Reckless Games tells the story of Carrie-Anne Trombley and Bryan Hughes, and they are complete opposites. Bryan is part of the high school football team, and Carrie-Anne is part of the mathletes, and they don’t have much in common. However, Bryan feels the pull to be around Carrie-Anne and offers to help her with the senior year school project.
With weeks left in their senior year, falling in love is the last thing on either of their minds. However, that’s exactly what happened!
Great addition to the series! Loved it!

When I saw that author L.A. Cotton was publishing a new Rixon story, I immediately one-clicked it without reading the blurb. I flipping love the Rixon Raider series, and I knew I just had to read this new one! When I opened my Kindle and began reading, I was so excited to find out that Off-Limits is Lily’s (Jason and Felicity’s daughter’s) story.
When I read The End Game is You, the 4th book in the Rixon Raider series, I had mixed feelings since I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to the characters. So, I absolutely loved reading this next-generation story. Lily Ford & Kaiden Thatcher are as opposite as opposites can be. On top of that, Kaiden’s father has a history with Lily’s father. So, the last thing Kaiden needed was being forced to go to his rival school for his senior year.
Like all of L.A. Cotton’s stories, Off-Limits was full of drama, angst, heartbreak, and so much love. It’s a fabulous story, and I highly recommend adding it to your TBR list!

Tragic Lies is the second book in the Rixon High series written by author L.A. Cotton. Each book in the series tells the story of a different couple. So you’re aware, there is an underlining storyline that flows throughout the series. Therefore, I recommend reading Off-Limits, the first book in the series, before beginning this one. However, if you’re like me and enjoy knowing all of the background stories, I recommend reading the Rixon Raider series first. Just know it’s only a suggestion.
Tragic Lies tells the story of Peyton Myers and Xander Chase, and it’s full of drama, angst, heartbreak, and so much more. The story begins with Xander saving Peyton, and as a result, the two form a special bond that’s hard to ignore. They are both dealing with painful events in their lives, and it draws them closer together. Although, there is one big problem. Xander is ten years older and an assistant coach at her high school. Can Peyton and Xander fight their growing desire?
Another fabulous story! Not much could have pried me away from this amazing story!
