Penthouse Prince - Review

Penthouse Prince
New York City Romance # 2
Tara Leigh
June 10th, 2021

My billionaire boss is keeping a secret. Me.

Tristan James Xavier Bettencourt IV.
The prodigal son of a banking dynasty.
And my new boss.

With his silver tongue and dirty mouth,
he’s everything I’ve ever wanted.

And the one man I’ll never have.
Some rules are as old as time.
Girls like me don’t ride off into the sunset with men like him.

Reina St James has a body made for sin,
and a face that could tempt the devil himself.

As the heir to a financial empire,
a scandal is the only thing I can’t afford.
But all work and no play
make this billionaire a very bad boy.

Reina is the one woman I can’t have.
And a temptation I can’t resist.

(This book is a completely revised and expanded version of Penthouse Player, which is no longer available for sale.)

Penthouse Prince is the second book in A New York City Romance series written by author Tara Leigh. This story was previously published as Penthouse Player, which is no longer available and has since been revised and expanded. Each book in this series tells the story of a different couple and can be read as a standalone romance. However, I really loved Park Avenue Princess, the first book in the series, and I highly suggest you read it as well!

Penthouse Prince tells the story of Reina St. James and Tristan James Xavier Bettencourt. I have read many forbidden office romances, but I can easily say that Reina and Tristan’s story was unique and truly captivating!  Reina went through a lot growing up, and as a result, she has a lot of emotional scars. Because of this, Reina became a strong female character, and I loved her from the very first page. Tristan was a sexy, smart, smooth talker, and I loved how they met.  Oh, and their chemistry was off the charts!

I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

June 2nd, 2021

One secret baby.
Two devastating lies.
Three lives torn apart.

Jolie Chapman was my first love.
Now she’s my most bitter enemy.
Screw me once, shame on you. Screw me twice . . .
Who am I kidding—I don’t believe in second chances anymore.

Tripp Montgomery was my first love.
I gave him my innocence.
Then he broke my heart.
And I committed the ultimate betrayal.

These Manhattan royals are out for revenge.
Sweet, sweet revenge.
But there’s something they want more.
Their daughter.

Park Avenue Princess is the first book in A New York City Romance series written by author Tara Leigh.  This story is separated into two parts. The first one is labeled THEN, and it consists of the prequel to Tripp and Jolie’s story. You can either read it within Park Avenue Princess or purchase it separately as Throne of Lies.  The second part is labeled NOW, and this section was originally published as Legacy of Lies.

When I first read the Legacy of Lies series, I was completely captivated by the storyline. It was suspenseful, emotional, steamy, and full of drama. So, when I heard that Tara was updating the series, I got so excited!  As I reread the story, I remembered how much I loved the characters. I quickly became completely captivated by the storyline, and there was not much that could have pried me away.

I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series!
