Even at Your Darkest is a story with dark elements featuring a hot sexy, brooding alpha male, a strip club, and an MC club. Even though A.J. Love was a new-to-me author, I jumped at the chance to read it after seeing the description. Lately, I feel like I have been reading the same stories over and over. Even at Your Darkest‘s storyline was unique and refreshing, and I quickly was sucked in.
Even at Your Darkest tells the story of Layton Parks and Kane Thatcher. Layton left college and moved to get away from her difficult parents. So, when Layton first meets Kane, things don’t go so well. She literally stumbled over a box that belonged to Kane, while he was moving into the apartment next to hers. Layton and Kane’s chemistry was off the charts, and these frenemies soon turned into lovers. I loved all the aspects of this book and read it in one sitting!
