Trapped is the fourth book in the Bullied series written by author Vera Hollis. This emotional bully romance can be read as a standalone, although I do recommend reading the series in order. I believe it will give you a better foundation to appreciate and understand the storyline. Just know that it’s only a suggestion.
Trapped tells the story of Jessica Metts and Blake Jones. Jessica has low self-esteem, and she’s recently transferred schools to try and have a new beginning. Unfortunately, things don’t get any better as Blake makes her life extremely difficult. Honestly, it wasn’t easy to read at times since I understood what Jessica was going through. Because of that, I felt compelled to continue reading. Oh, and I’m so glad that I did.
The storyline was intense, emotional, and full of twists. I often felt like I was on a roller coaster ride, and I didn’t want to put my Kindle down. I loved how the story ended, and I definitely recommend adding it to your TBR list!
I can’t wait to read Melissa and Masen’s story in Scarred, which is the fifth book in the series.

I have always been bullied and trapped in darkness. I hoped life would get better when I moved to my mother’s hometown, but it only got worse because it was there that I met my unrequited crush, Hayden Black.
He despised me from day one, and even more when I became best friends with his twin, Kayden. Kayden gave light to my life, but my happiness with him lasted only until one night two years ago.
That night Kayden died because of me.
Half of me died with him. The other half was left to bleed, suffering Hayden’s and his friends’ constant bullying.
Now I must endure one more year before I can finally escape them and go to college. This year has to be different.
Either I will become stronger, or they will finally break me into nothing.
Warning: This book contains mature and sensitive themes such as abuse, violence, and offensive language. It includes situations that may be triggering for some readers, so caution is advised.

Wow!
Bullied is the first book in the Bullied series written by author Vera Hollins. This was the first book that I’ve read by the author, and it definitely won’t be the last! I enjoy reading bully romances, and Bullied was an emotional page-turner! Because of the difficult subject matter, I suggest reading the warning label since this story deals with many difficult issues.
Bullied tells the story of Sarah Decker, who lives next door to Hayden and Kayden Black, who are identical twins. Sarah and Kayden were best friends, and he tragically passed away after a horrible accident. Hayden blamed Sarah for what happened, and he vowed to make her life difficult.
The storyline was well written and impossible to put down. The characters were complex and well developed, and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

Two months have passed since the day I pushed Hayden away. Two months since I found out he loved me and wanted to be with me. I’ve been trying to move on and forget about him, but my heart refuses to listen.
Hayden had almost died saving me. Half of me wants to forgive him for everything and give him another chance. The other half prevents me from doing so, distrusting him and ignoring my heart’s desires. Hayden is dark and complicated, and as the days pass, he gets further away from me, ignoring me whenever our paths cross.
I have less than a year before I go to college, and I won’t see him ever again. I have to believe I will get over him and move on with my life. I have to believe in my future without him.
Unless he didn’t really move on, and our masks are about to fall.

I just love stories that completely grab your attention and refuse to let you go. I was so immersed in Bullied, the first book in the series, that I immediately purchased Pained. We were left with a pretty big cliffhanger, and I felt compelled to find out what happened next. And let me tell you, Pained is emotional and impossible to put down!
I feel connected to Sarah in many ways, and I just hoped that things would get better for her. I wished that she would get stronger and stand up for herself more. I was pleased that she started, but she still has a long way to go.
I also felt heartbroken for Sarah, and I kept hoping that things would be getting better for her. But, sadly that didn’t happen. I just wanted to hug her and tell her to believe in herself. I was happy that Hayden seemed to make a positive turn, although having Borderline Personality Disorder was difficult for them both.
I’m so in love with these characters that I need to read the next book, and I just hope that Sarah and Hayden get the break they deserve!

Nine days have passed since Hayden got into an accident and fell into a coma. Nine days of hoping for a miracle that would allow him to wake up. Nine long, endless days.
Half of me is conquered by despair, while the other half clings to the hope that he will recover soon. I refuse to let fear and doubt overcome me. Hayden is dark and complicated, but as the days pass, I’m more determined to fight for him despite the hurdles in our way.
I have to believe that there won’t be serious consequences once he wakes up. I have to believe that we will overcome all obstacles and become stronger together.
After all, we may be both damaged, but we’re each other’s salvation.

An emotional page-turner!
Damaged is the third and final book in the Bullied series written by author Vera Hollis. The first two books focus on Sarah’s pain, and it was very emotional. I often felt heartbroken, and I wished that everything would get better for Sarah and Hayden.
Damaged mainly focused on their healing, as well as Sarah and Hayden’s journey to HEA. They faced many obstacles and challenges along the way, but I loved how they stayed by each other through everything they faced.
This is such an amazing series, and it gave me all of the feels!
It’s a definite add to your TBR list!
