In for a Penny is the 8th book in The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor series written by author Melissa Foster. This steamy novella tells the story of Penny Wilson and Scott Beckley, whom we were introduced to in The Gritty Truth, which is Quincy and Roni’s story. Like all of the books in this series, In for a Penny can be read as a standalone romance. However, if you’re like me and enjoy knowing all the backstories, I recommend starting with Tru Blue, the first book in the series.
The story begins with Penny and Scott roughly seven months into their relationship, which I must admit is deliciously steamy. Scott had a difficult childhood, and Penny has had to make some accommodations in their relationship. However, there is one thing that Penny and Scott are having a difficult time agreeing on, and that’s children. Penny wants to have a family someday, although Scott has declared that he doesn’t want any. Will this affect their relationship? How will they move forward?
In for a Penny is another fabulous addition to the series, and I loved every minute of it!
