Ready For It - Review

A woman who seems to have it all, a shy construction worker who prefers to keep in the shadows, and news that will blow their worlds wide open. Join bestselling author ML Nystrom in the Dragon Runners MC spin-off following the much-loved McAteer brothers.
Party girl Melanie Miser has it all: looks, brains, and money. She goes through men with a distinct lack of commitment, never getting too close and never letting them get close to her.
Not even her best friend knows why.
After a lifetime of being mocked for his speech impediment, burly giant Owen rarely talks to anyone outside his family circle. He has wanted Melanie for a long time, but fears he would be just another notch in her bedpost. As their friendship strengthens, Owen still yearns for Melanie to see him as more.
Then life throws a major curveball and Melanie faces irrevocable changes. More than ever, she needs Owen to help her process the hardship of her past and the challenges of the future.
If you like heat and tension, you’ll love ML Nystrom’s friends-to-lovers romance.

Another fabulous story from author ML Nystrom!
I flipping loved Run with It, which is the first book in the MacAteer Brothers series. Connor simply made me weak in the knees; however, I got to tell you a secret. I was secretly crushing on his brother Owen! I think being a big burly alpha male with a speech impediment gave him a sense of mystery, and I had a feeling he was going to be really deep.
Ready for It tells the story of Owen MacAteer and Melanie Miser, who we met in Connor and Beverly’s story. Even though this is true, Run with It can be enjoyed as a standalone friends-to-lovers romance. Although, if you’re like me and enjoy knowing the backstories, I recommend reading Stud, the second book in the Dragon Runners MC series. We were first introduced to the MacAteer family in this story of Stud and Eva, who is the youngest in the MacAteer family. Just know that it’s only a suggestion.
Melanie is a party girl and the opposite of her best friend, Beverly. However, I had a feeling that she had a difficult past, and sadly I was correct. Owen and Melanie may not be an obvious choice at first glance, but they were truly perfect for each other. Their journey to HEA was not an easy one, but I loved every minute of it!
Now, I’m counting the days until Garrett’s story!

OMG! Move over book boyfriends, Connor MacAteer has arrived!
Run with It is the first book in the MacAteer Brothers series written by author ML Nystrom. It tells the story of Beverly Archer, who is a single mother of four, and Connor, the eldest of the MacAteers. We were first introduced to Connor and his siblings in Stud, the second book in the Dragon Runners MC series. And if you’re like me and enjoy knowing the backstories, I recommend reading Stud first. Just know that it’s only a suggestion.
Run with It is an absolutely amazing story, and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough! The storyline is refreshing, engaging, and beautifully written. In this story, Beverly is such a strong woman who is an amazing advocate for her children. She works very hard to provide for them while her ex-husband is a real douche-canoe. Connor just moved into a duplex in Ashville, the same one that Beverly and her kids share. He’s a real stand-up guy, and he’s not afraid to help Beverly and her kids. Their friendship soon turns into something more, and I can’t express how much I love Connor.
Loved every minute, and I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

After Bertie Shore’s marriage descends into an unfulfilling placeholder in her life, she takes a big leap and finds a new direction and leaves to pursue her lifelong ambition of owning a bed-and-breakfast inn.
Neither is looking for a connection, but one night they find it. Can they survive the challenges they face long enough to accept new love, take it, and hold it close?

I’ve spent most of my life as a performing musician and band instrument repair technician, but that doesn’t mean I’m pigeon-holed into one mold. I’ve been a university professor, belly dancer, craftsperson, soap maker, singer, rock band artist, jewelry maker, lifeguard, swim coach, and whatever else I feel like exploring. As one of my students said to me once, “Life’s too short to ignore the opportunities.” I have no intention of ever stopping so welcome to my story world. I hope you enjoy it!
