Torn Apart - Review

Torn Apart
Torn and Bound Duet #1
by K. Webster & Nikki Ash
October 20th, 2020

I’ve spent the past three years in college terrorizing the dean, also known as my father.
I’m everything he hates.

Troublemaker.
Slacker.
Gay.

But I’m only getting started.
I’m about to make Dad really proud with my newest life choices…

I fall for my best friend, Mia, who’s a freaking chick.
I’m dying to make out with my enemy, dude bro Brayden.
And best of all, I want to bone my new roomie, Drew, who happens to also be the school’s new hockey coach.

Senior year’s great.
I’m still the world’s worst human.
I’ve made all the wrong decisions, and when Dad gets wind of my newest mess, he might actually disown me this time.

But I can’t stop.
I don’t want to stop.

In typical Ashton Carter fashion, I wreck my life in the worst possible way.
It isn’t until it’s all torn apart, I realize I have a problem.
Me.

Story – 5 / 5
Overall – 5 /5OMG!

Torn Apart is the first book in the Torn and Bound Duet, and it is one of my favorite books of the year. I was completely captivated from the very beginning, and I could not turn the pages fast enough. It was full of drama, angst, and so much sexual tension!

Torn Apart tells the story of Ashton Carter, Mia Lexington, Drew Thompson, and Brayden Murphy. Ashton and Mia are best friends who live in the same apartment building. They have a great friendship, but Mia has feelings for Ashton. The only problem is that Ashton is gay. His roommate, Drew, is the coach of the hockey team, and Brayden is the star player on the team. Brayden and Drew went to the same high school, and they have a complex history.

I got to tell you, I just absolutely love this book! Not only was the storyline gripping, but the characters were well developed and engaging. I could truly feel their hurt, anger, and desire for each other. Oh, and that last chapter nearly did me in!

Now, I am counting the days for the next book, which is due to be released in November.
