He was my foster brother.
He swore to protect me.
He failed.
They all failed.
I’m an open box of passé photographs, snapped in chaste daylight, but filtered in sepia. I’m the past that he tried to forget, and he was the future I needed. When he left six years ago, I screamed for him every night. But then it all stopped. My screams were suddenly muffled by cruelty, and further coaxed by pain.
But he has come back. He’s not the cute big brother I had a furtive crush on, or the bad boy, rich brat that I hated to love.
He’s the ruthless vice president of Wolf Pack MC, and he doesn’t answer to Royce Kane anymore.
He answers to Sicko.

I have been looking forward to reading Sicko ever since I saw the teasers. I love Amo’s books, and I couldn’t wait to read this new dark romance. After waiting weeks, the ebook finally appeared, and I dove right in. However, I did pause when I read the author’s note. Amo hasn’t included a warning in any of her other books, so I was a little surprised. Please make sure that you read this warning before beginning. Sicko is a very dark romance, and Amo doesn’t sugar coat anything.
Now, I have a weakness for dark romances and MC romances. Mainly because both genres usually have strong alpha men that are fiercely protective and like to talk dirty. And let me tell you, Royce is all that and a bag of chips! I was on the edge of my seat throughout it all. I seriously couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Then when I got around 70%, I realized that I was getting closer to the end. And even though I was dying to find out what happened next, I started to read slower. Savoring every word.
Sicko’s storyline was gripping and full of twists, and right when I felt like I figured something out, another twist was revealed. Not only was that, but the characters were so well developed. Sicko is definitely one of my favorite books this year!
