Another fabulous story written by author Charmaine Pauls!

Diamonds in the Dust is a dark mafia romance, and it’s the first book in the Diamonds are Forever Trilogy. Every book that I’ve read of Charmaine’s, I have absolutely loved. So, as soon as I saw it on my Kindle, I jumped in without even reading the blurb! I enjoy doing this, and I tend to feel more connected to the story. It’s so much better when you don’t know any spoilers, and just let the author take you on the journey. Just a heads up, since this is the first book in a trilogy, be prepared for a doozy of a cliffhanger!

This book tells the story of Maxime Belshaw, who’s the head of the French Mafia and runs a large diamond business. He’s a very wealthy and dangerous man, and he often has to go to South Africa on business. Zoe Halt lives in South Africa, and she has had a rough childhood. This has lead her to dream of a life away from her current situation. Although, she definitely didn’t expect Maxime and to be a chess piece in one of his games.

I just love this story, and I can’t wait to find out what happens next! A definite add to your TBR list!

Author Bio

Charmaine Pauls was born in Bloemfontein, South Africa. She obtained
a degree in Communication at the University of Potchestroom, and followed a
diverse career path in journalism, public relations, advertising,
communications, photography, graphic design, and brand marketing. Her writing
has always been an integral part of her professions.

After relocating to Chile with her French husband, she fulfilled her passion to
write creatively full-time. Charmaine has published over twenty novels since 2011, as
well as several short stories and articles. Two of her shorts have been
selected by the International Literary Society for an anthology from across the
African continent.

When she is not writing, she likes to travel, read, and rescue cats. Charmaine
currently lives in France with her husband and children. Their household is a
linguistic mélange of Afrikaans, English, French and Spanish.
