They always say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but what happens when your brain is set on lying to you every time you look in the mirror?
***
The thing about emotional pain is that it leaves invisible scars.
No one sees them but you.
No one feels them but you.
However, the scars can be traced by the gentlest of touch and I found that gentle touch in the form of a man. He didn’t heal me but his love changed me.
The start of our relationship was … intense. Why? Well, because that same man rejected me years ago and he didn’t even remember. I was invisible to him since his heart belonged to someone else—my best friend.
Now his heart beats for me and mine for him. Our souls are entwined in a way that would never be separated, but this almost perfect man has a secret that could alter the course of our lives forever.
In the second installment of the Imperfectly Perfect Series meet Christina and Ezra. Fall in love with their emotional, enemies to lovers story, that will make you swoon and have your heart racing with passion.

Rejected is the second book in the Imperfectly Perfect series written by author Lym Cruz. Each book in the series focuses on a different couple and can be read as standalone romances. At this moment, I have not read the first book, Flawed, and I was able to follow along without any problems.
Rejected is an enemies-to-lovers story, which I have been really into lately. This book tells the story of Ezra and Christina. Christina is a complex character, and it took me a bit to fully connect with her. She was constantly teased and had a difficult time in school.
I felt emotional towards her, and I did understand her pain. She had a hard time dealing with her emotions, and she often lashed out under stressful situations. Sadly, this was usually aimed at Ezra.
Once I learned more about Christina’s past, I began to understand her better. At this point, I got fully absorbed in the storyline and had a hard time putting my Kindle down.
Rejected is a great story with several surprising twists and turns!
