Allure is a dark fantasy written by authors Sansa Rayne and Stella Rising. I always look forward to reading Sansa’s dark romances, but this was the first book that I have read by Stella Rising. Allure tells the story of Cassian and Inara, and it was very different than anything I’ve read. In this world, the women have a blossoming ceremony when they turn 18 years old. The men in the town attend the ceremony with the desire to be chosen as Inara’s suitor. This is the first time that the women are exposed to the suitor’s allure. Although, the effect of the allure has a very different result on her, and she panics.

Cassian is a knight and is well-known in the town. He’s attracted to Inara, and he goes to find her when she runs during her blossoming. He makes her an offer, which she accepts. Even though it begins as a business deal, both truly have feelings for the other. The only problem is that Cassian can tell she is hiding something from him. When he learns what the issue is, he is supportive and tries to find her help.

While they research possible answers, they upset the wrong people. Now they have to run and hide, but will the townspeople help them?
