Book One in the Dead Man’s Ink Series. This book contains strong ties with the Blood & Roses series, but you do not have to have read those works in order to read this one. Rebel is a contemporary romance story with occasional dark themes that some people might find confronting.

Rebel is the first book in the Deadman’s Ink series written by author Callie Hart. I’ve been looking forward to reading Rebel’s story ever since he was introduced in the Blood & Roses series. If you’re like me and like to know all the background stories, I recommend reading Blood & Roses first. Just know that it’s not mandatory, and Rebel can be read as a standalone romance.
Rebel is the president of the Widow Maker’s MC and he’s a very powerful and private man. He wants revenge for the murder of his uncle, and the only person that can help him is Sophia. Sophia (Alexis Romera) was taken by the cartel that killed Rebel’s uncle. The only way he can get Sophia’s help is to buy her when she’s being sold as a sex slave.
Sophia doesn’t want to be in her situation, and she wants to go home. She misses her parents and her sister Sloane (from the Blood & Roses series). But as time goes by, she starts to see another side of Rebel and is beginning to understand the big picture. Rebel knows it’s not a good idea to fall for Sophia, but the two have intense chemistry.
Another amazing book and I can’t wait to read the next in the series!
