Gray’s Promise is the second book in the King Security series by author Anni Fife. This suspenseful romance is utterly spellbinding and well worth the year wait! I do suggest you read Luke’s Redemption, the first book in the series, before beginning this one.

Now, it is possible for you to read this book as a standalone, but know that there is an incident that occurs in the first book. Zoey has blocked out that horrible night, and she does not remember what happened. The benefit to reading Luke’s Redemption is that you will have some background to what occurred. Now, if you choose to read Gray’s Promise as a standalone, you will be more in the dark, like Zoey. You will discover things as she does. If you would like to know the background story, then you should begin with Luke’s Redemption.

With that said, I must tell you that this story is outstanding! The characters are well developed and engaging. I could feel their emotions and understood how Zoey and Gray went their separate ways. I felt like I was experiencing everything with the characters.

One of my favorites for 2017 and a must-read!

Luke’s Redemption is the first book in the King Security series by debut author Anni Fife. This is an enchanting novel filled with drama, suspense, angst, passion, and non-stop action! The main and secondary characters are all well-developed and I feel emotionally connected towards them all. Katya is a strong woman who is running from her past while falling for a man, Luke, she hardly knows. Unfortunately, he betrays her… so she decides to disappear. Until, the bad guys find her and Luke is determined to win her back!

There were many surprises along the way that kept me guessing and I became completely engrossed. This is an excellent first novel and I absolutely recommend this book to anyone who loves a great suspenseful romance.

I can’t wait for the second book, Gray’s Promise!
