Rock God is the third book in the Hearts of Metal series by Brooklyn Ann. I love the first two books in this series and immediately started reading Rock God as soon as I was done with book two.  Brooklyn Ann weaves us another amazing story filled with drama, angst, passion, and inspiration.  Her characters are so realistic and written with so much depth… it’s hard not to become emotionally attached to them all!

Rock God tells the story of Dante Deity who is one of the most respected musicians in the metal community.  Dante is a hardworking man who is constantly on tour, working on an album or volunteering his time to a cause. He is the ultimate book boyfriend being so hot, caring, talented, and the list goes on and on. Shayna has been through so much pain internally and externally.  The romance between Dante and Shayna is perfectly paced and I was completely enchanted with them.

I have fallen more in love with this series with each book that Brooklyn Ann writes!

I absolutely recommend this series!  A must read!

Kissing Vicious is the first book in the Heart of Metal series by Brooklyn Ann.  This is the first book that I have read by the author and I thoroughly adore it!  Kissing Vicious tells the story of Kinley Black and Quinn Mayne.  Kinley has had a challenging childhood and has learned to fight for what she believes in.  She is a strong-willed, modest woman who is willing to work extra hard to be taken seriously in the male-dominated life of a hard metal rocker.

As Kinley begins working for the heavy metal band Viciöus, her relationship with the lead singer, Quinn, grows. I love that Quinn was not a snobby rock star or one who took advantage of everything. He was protective of Kinley and supported her throughout the story.  I was drawn into the book quickly with a great storyline, wonderful characters, and some hot hot scenes.  I am looking forward to reading the second book, With Vengeance,
which is Katana and Klement‘s story.

I was SO excited to read With Vengeance, the second book in the Hearts of Metal series, by Brooklyn Ann. I really loved the first book and couldn’t wait to devour Katana and Klement’s story. There was something so real about the characters. Katana is sort of the opposite of Kinley in many ways… and I liked that about her! Kat suffers with an anxiety disorder and I admire her for not being ashamed or hiding it. She still went and accomplished a dream of hers to play guitar… and with her favorite band Bleeding Vengeance no less!

Klement already knew of Katana and how talented she was before her audition. He hoped she would work well with the band and become a permanent member. He has been attracted to Kat for some time and bends over backwards to keep her safe. He is my new book boyfriend and I could go on forever telling you why he is so awesome!

The story line was excellent and was perfectly paced. There was mystery, suspense, passion, drama and the sex scenes were hot and steamy! I can’t wait to read the third book in the series, Rock God, which is Dante’s story .

Not only did I love this book… I f’ing loved it!

This is a must read series!

Metal and Mistletoe
Hearts of Metal # 4
By Brooklyn Ann
Released: December 14th, 2017
Boroughs Publishing Group

Fighting the darkness of their pasts, talented heavy metal musicians Curtis Scrimm and Dezra Hopkins seek holiday solitude but find each other.

A HOLIDAY REDEMPTION

Curtis Scrimm and Dezra Hopkins have lived both the highs and the lows of life—literally. They’ve both known the joy of performing to hordes of screaming fans and the horror of betraying all that they love and admire. They’ve both just gotten out of rehab.

But things are always darkest before the dawn, and with this Christmas comes redemption. It arrives in an unlikely place, in the solitary and deadly beauty of Yellowstone Park. It comes in the form of desperation and unquenchable desire, though things are never so black and white. The spark is a good bass line, the hottest lick from an electric guitar, and a primalistic roar like a furious lioness, and it will ignite an inferno of inspiration that both had been seeking. But that flame needs to be fanned. Curt and Dezra can nurture it with each other. Then they’ll need to find enough trust to make it burn forever.

Forbidden Song is the fifth book in the ‘Hearts of Metal’ series by author Brooklyn Ann.  I believe this story could be read as a standalone, although I highly recommend starting from the beginning of the series.  Understanding the backstories will gain the reader a better foundation to fully appreciate the storyline.

I wasn’t quite sure how I felt about Cliff Tracey, the lead singer of Bleeding Vengeance.  He often acts like an arrogant womanizer in the other stories.   As I began the book, I was immediately drawn into Cliff and Christine’s story.  I was captivated by the drama, angst, and passion of the storyline.  I could understand how Christine felt and why she did certain things in the book.  There was a lot of emotions while reading their story and it was great to watch Cliff grow to be a better man.

Like I have said before, I fall more in love with this series with each book that Brooklyn Ann writes!

A must read series!

It’s so great to be back with the men and women of Bleeding Vengeance! I just love these characters and couldn’t wait to read Rod’s story!  Tempting Beat is the sixth book in the ‘Hearts of Metal’ series and can be read as a standalone. Although, I recommend starting from the beginning of the series. Understanding the backstories will gain the reader a better foundation to fully appreciate the story.  Just know that it’s not necessary.

Tempting Beats tells the story of Roderick Powell, the drummer for Bleeding Vengeance.  Rod is starting to think about settling down, like the other members in his band.  First, he decides to buy a house in Denver, not too far away from Klement and Katana.  Rod’s next neighbor is Gwen Mason, a beautiful ER nurse who is about 7 years older than him.  Gwen has been married twice and divorced twice, so she’s not looking for a relationship.

The story was captivating, and I especially loved all the drama in the new neighborhood!

A must read series!
