The Truth About Us is a standalone forbidden romance written by author R.C. Stephens. This book tells the story of Jolie Bryant and Griffin Campbell, and it’s full of drama, angst, and heartbreak. Griffin is best friends with Jolie’s older brother, and they do their best to hide their relationship. She finally convinces him that she’s ready, and they have a special day together. But then he disappears, and she never hears anything from him.
Now, fast forward ten years and Jolie has some serious baggage. When she gets a call from her mom, she quickly packs to head back home. But who does she run into? Griffin and he is determined to explain. Although she has no interest in listening to his excuses.
The Truth About Us had a great storyline, and I quickly became engrossed in it. There were several twists that I didn’t expect, and I was continually trying to guess what would happen next. It’s a definite add to your TBR list.
