Shaft tells the story of Allie Sinclair, and she’s been having an awful day. It all started when she slept through her alarm clock. That one event, unfortunately, started a domino effect of many misfortunes on the worst possible day. The day that Allie has an interview for an executive assistant position at Hart Enterprises, one that she believes she’s perfect for. So it’s not a surprise, with her current luck, when the power goes out while heading up to the interview. And, of course, she gets stuck in the elevator with an absolutely beautiful man, Nate Lothario.

Shaft is a steamy prequel written by author Krista Gold. I was completely engrossed in the storyline and had a difficult time putting my Kindle down. I am not sure when the first book in this series will be released, but I can’t wait for it! I loved how the novella ended, and I’m dying to find out what happens next with Allie and Nate!
