I enjoy reading dark romance stories and have read many from various authors.  Although, I don’t think I was quite prepared for how dark Serenity was. It definitely pushed my comfort zone, and it was difficult to read at times.  The man that kidnapped Serenity was a very sick man, and I was so happy when Chris saved her.

I was a little surprised that Serenity was still able to enjoy sex after everything she went through.  But I could see how happy Chris made her, which was nice to see.  I also liked that the story had two endings.  I believe the second ending was better, in my opinion.
