Hypnotizing Beat is the second book in the Discord’s Desires series written by author Katherine McIntyre. Even though each book focuses on a different couple, I do recommend reading Captivating Melody first before beginning this one.  I believe it will give you a better foundation to understand and follow the background stories.

Hypnotizing Beat tells the story of Danica and Trevor, which we were introduced to in the first story. There’s tension between Danica and Trevor’s band, and they are trying to decide if they can trust her after what happened in the first book. Even though this is true, the chemistry between Trevor and Danica is still through the roof.

I loved being back with the members of Discord’s Desire, and I quickly became engrossed in the storyline. It’s full of action, drama, suspense, and steamy scenes. I can’t wait for the next book in the series, and I’m hoping it will be Jett’s story!

Captivating Melody is the first book in Discord’s Desire series.  It’s also the first book that I have read from author Katherine McIntyre.  I always love a great paranormal/fantasy book and jumped at the chance to read it. I became even more intrigued that the characters were also in a rock group.  Most rock romances that I have read are about super famous ones. I especially liked that Discord’s Desire was still a rising band.

Captivating Melody is the story of Keiran who is an Incubus and the lead singer of Discord’s Desire, who is also comprised of a banshee, siren, and satyr.  Liz is the band’s booking manager and is not a typical human.  She is able to see through every paranormal’s glamour, which they use to mask their identity.  Even as a young girl she could see them, but she never knew why or who she was.

The story had a lot of drama, angst, and steam. The sexual tension between Keiran and Liz was off the charts.   I was completely absorbed in this book.  A definite add to your TBR list!

A modern day Renaissance-woman, Katherine McIntyre has learned soapmaking, beer brewing, tea blending, and most recently roasting coffee. Most of which make sure she’s hydrated and bathed while she spends the rest of her time writing. With a desire to travel and more imagination than she knows what to do with, all the stories jumping around in her head led to the logical route of jotting them down on paper. She writes novels with snarky women, ragtag crews, and guys with bad attitudes. High chances for a passionate speech thrown into the mix.
