Title: Slashes in the Snow: A Baum Squad Novel
Author: M. Never
Genre: enemies to lovers, stepbrother romance, romantic suspense
Someone is watching me.
I can feel it. I wake up in the middle of the night freaked out of my mind, paranoid a stranger is there. My skin prickles every time I leave my house, because I know someone is following me.
I’m afraid. Alone.
And there’s only one person left to turn to.
The stepbrother I never met.
He’s the president of a notorious motorcycle club and exactly the kind of person I need to protect me – cutthroat, cocky, dangerous.
Little did I know, hot as all holy hell Ky Parish, downright loathes me.
You know what they say – there’s a fine line between love and hate.
And I’m definitely walking it.

Slashes in the Snow is a steamy and suspenseful step-brother romance, and it tells the story of Ky Parish and Kira Kendrick. It’s also the first book in the Baum Squad series and can be read as a standalone romance. Although, if you are like me and enjoy knowing the background stories, I recommend reading the prequel, Snowfall. This will give the reader some background info on how Ky and Kira’s parents get together.
Kira is currently living in her parent’s large house while they are off in Europe. She finally gets the courage to ask Ky for help when she swears she hears and sees things. Even though he is her step-brother, she has not met him and unsure how he’ll react. Ky does agree to help, but he makes it known what his real feelings are.
Slashes in the Snow is a fabulous story, and I was glued to my Kindle throughout the whole book. The storyline was steamy as well as exciting, and I truly enjoyed Ky’s alpha male personality. A definite add to your TBR list!

M. Never is a USA Today bestselling author of dark and contemporary romance. Her females are fierce and her alphas are magnetizing, just like the romance she provokes between them. She casts a spell, weaving one wonderous word at a time. A native of new Jersey, she is now a Maryland transplant juggling life the way one would juggle knives —carefully reckless. She has a dependence on sushi, a fetish for boots, and is stalked by a clingy pit bull named Apache. Writing is her passion, but readers are her love.
