hide the ones on my skin.
I’m living proof that only the strongest survive on these streets. But I paid a
heavy price for my survival.
Now I’m ready to move on, to forget my past. In my dreams, I do it with Matt.
I’ve had my eye on him ever since he joined Cooper Construction. Like me, he
keeps his true self hidden, locked inside a shy and silent shell.
Somehow, I break through. Touch the untouchable. But when love strips us both
naked, the truths we reveal may end up tearing us apart.

Story 4.5 / 5
Overall: 4.5 / 5Robby is the third book in the Cooper construction series written by author Jen Davis. This was the first story that I have read in the series, and I had no difficulties in following along. Each book in the series focuses on a different couple and can be read as a standalone romance. The characters from the previous novels do appear within the story, but not in a confusing way.
In this story, Robby is the assistant to the foreman at Cooper construction. He’s been through a lot and works very hard. His family kicked him out when he was sixteen years old, and he has had to fend for himself since. Matt works with Robby at the construction company, and he’s very focused on earning money for his family. He’s never really felt desire before, so when he feels something for Robby, he doesn’t know how to handle it.
Robby was a really refreshing story. I thought the progression of Robby and Matt’s relationship was genuine, and I was quickly drawn in. The writing was flawless, and I look forward to reading more in the series! A definite add to your TBR list.
