Lizette Butler has the only thing she ever wanted—freedom from her pack Alpha, Maxime Simard, and the ability to decide her own fate. She and Max have a turbulent history and a powerful—if unwilling—attraction. Unfortunately, mere distance can’t stop the past from crashing back in to disrupt her life. Nor can it stop the rush of desire that overwhelms her the minute she sees him again. Her body may crave his physical seductions, but her heart will never let her love him.

As leader of the New York territory, Max has everything—wealth, power, and an army of wolves ready to jump at his command. But a mistake he made five years ago may have cost him the only thing worth living for: Lizette. He also knows something Lizette doesn’t—she possesses a rare ability that makes her a target and a prize.

Max can command Lizette to return to the pack, but he can’t command her trust…or her love. And if he can’t heal the rift between them, he may lose her forever.

I always love a good paranormal romance. There is something about a strong alpha that makes me go weak in the knees! What a Wolf Desires is the first book in the Lux Catena series and tells the story of Maxime Simard and Lizette Butler. In this story, Max is the Alpha wolf, and he has known that Lizette is his true mate.  Although, Lizette has had a bit of a rough childhood, and due to that, she has a lot of misconceived thoughts about mating.  She’s also not sure about Max, and afraid of her feelings.

Lizette’s cousin Remy and his best friend, Dominic, visit her with the purpose of bringing her home. Five years have gone by since she left and Max is afraid that he may lose Lizette forever if he is unable to explain how important she is to him and the pack.

What a Wolf Desires had an exciting storyline, and I quickly became engrossed in the story.  I enjoyed the characters and look forward to the next book in the series!

What happens when the species’ most notorious womanizer meets the woman of his dreams?

As a werewolf Alpha’s daughter, Sophie Gregory was raised to understand she has two important purposes in life–to be wed and bred. When she fails at the first, she wants nothing to do with the second, even if it means spending the rest of her life alone. After fleeing a disastrous arranged marriage, she seeks shelter with a neighboring pack. There’s just one problem. Her new pack is home to the handsome, roguish Remy Arsenault: serial dater and notorious womanizer. Remy makes her laugh…and her heart pound. She’s not looking for commitment, but she might just be up for a fling. That’s all Remy is offering, anyway, right?

Remy has a reputation for being a player, but in truth, he’s ready to settle down. Too bad that’s the very last thing Sophie is interested in. He will do anything to win the heart of the woman who makes his head spin with lust–including seducing her with the most delicious sex imaginable. Sophie wants a fling. But what if he’s ready for so much more? To convince her he’s serious this time, he might just have to pull off a small miracle.
