Ravik’s Mercy is the second book in the Braxians series by author Regine Abel. This series is a spinoff of Ms. Abel’s Veredian Chronicles. I highly recommend that you read these books before beginning the Braxians series. I believe reading them first will give you a better foundation to understand and appreciate the Braxian series. Even though each book tells a different couple’s story, some backstories might confuse the reader if the other books are not read first.

Ravik’s Mercy tells the story of Magnar Ravik Xeldar and Revena Mercy Vrok. I have been looking forward to reading Mercy’s story ever since we were introduced to her. She is a strong woman who had to hide herself for most of her life. Now as an independent woman, Mercy doesn’t want to hide anymore. She decides to go to her brother’s house on Braxia to look for information that he might have kept hidden. Mercy wanted to go without supervision, but then she met Ravik. Ravik is the ruler of the Braxian people, and he is slowly trying to update the laws since they are mostly archaic. Unfortunately, the Braxian people are resistant to the changes, and Ravik and Mercy soon find themselves in trouble.

The storyline was gripping and well developed, and I had a hard time putting my Kindle down! I definitely recommend adding it to your TBR list!!

Anton’s Grace is the first book in the Braxians series written by author Regine Abel. It’s a complete standalone, and even though the story is set in a SciFy world, it deals with realistic issues of revenge, power, and prestige. The characters are well developed, complex, and I became completely engrossed in the book!

In this story, Grace is a singer and her agent left her in debt and now people are after her. She has nowhere else to go, but ask Mr. Anton Meyers, a wealthy business mogul, to help her. Anton agrees to pay her debt if she agrees to do whatever he wants for 6 months. Little does she know that Anton plans to seek revenge for an incident that occurred 6 years ago. Grace does not realize that Anton was the one she hurt 6 years ago until it is too late.

Anton’s Grace is a dark romance and does have some difficult scenes. The surprise twists kept me mesmerized and I highly recommend to all those who like to read a dark romance!
