I just love reading stories with sexy alpha men, and MC romances are one of my favorites places to find them! Blind Love tells the story of Priest (Declan), Ranger (Josh), and Claire and it’s the first book in the Iron Back Warriors (Myrtle Beach Coastal Chapter) MC series. This book was written by Shannon Heighton Hicks, and it was also Ms. Hick’s debut novel.
Blind Love’s characters are older than most romances that I have read, and it was nice to see. I enjoyed them being older, as I am in my forties. It did take me a little bit to get into the story, as the beginning had a lot of background info. Once I got into the story, I was hooked! The storyline had some twists which had me sitting on the edge of my seat unable to put it down.
I believe some areas were a little uneven when the author didn’t go into full detail and instead glossed over events. I enjoyed the story as well as the characters and just wanted to read more about them. Overall, a good debut novel and looking forward to reading more from the author.

Raised in Central Virginia, Shannon Heighton Hicks loved to read and write stories from a very early age. Her grandmother would often take her to the Campbell County Public library, where Shannon would get stacks of books as tall as she was. She doesn’t read books, she devours them, as many as she can get in any genre.
Her love of reading and writing is nothing compared to her love for her family. Without them she never would have gotten as far as she has.
