The Manwhore Versus The Maneater
Finn McManus thrives on his reputation as a player’s player – a term that has nothing to do with his years as a professional athlete. A notorious flirt and ladies man, the handsome, charming retired football player rarely dates a woman more than a few times, and shies away from relationships like they were a contagious disease. And despite his parents’ decades long, blissfully happy marriage, Finn just can’t see himself ever being in the same situation.
Delilah Ferris has acquired her own reputation over the years as something of a maneater. She makes no bones about the fact that she expects to call the shots in the relationship, and that she’ll never be any man’s fool. And when she meets her new neighbor Finn for the first time, she automatically puts him in the same category as her handsome, playboy father – the same father who not only broke her heart too many times to count but broke their family as well. Delilah has always vowed to steer clear of heartbreakers like Finn McManus, unwilling to ever fall victim to his charms.
But when the gorgeous, tempting Delilah quickly becomes the only woman Finn has eyes for, he pulls out all the stops to convince her to go out with him. And if Delilah weakens her resolve and agrees, will she regret her decision sooner than later? Or will the coach finally manage to whip this player into shape?

The Bachelor series tells the story of three best friends who were in the same fraternity at college. Each book focuses on a different guy, and the first book, The Girl of His Dreams, focused on Jordon. The Player gets Coached is the second book in the series, and it tells Finn’s story. The third book, The One Real Regret, should be releasing in Spring 2019 and will be Max’s story. Each of the books can be read as a standalone romance, but I do recommend beginning the series with book one. I believe it helps to understand the back stories and builds a better foundation but know that it’s not mandatory.
Finn is a retired pro football player who is currently working as a broadcaster. He is turning forty soon, but he still parties like he’s in his twenties. He is a huge player who goes through women like tissues! That is until he sees his new neighbor, Delilah. Delilah has a habit of dating sophisticated men and is not impressed when she first meets Finn. The fact that he just woke up and was saying goodbye to his latest one-night stand certainly didn’t help him!
The Player gets Coached is a fun and steamy book, which I quickly became captivated with. The storyline was well developed, and the characters were engaging. I especially enjoyed Finn!
A definite add to your TBR list!!

Jordon Reeves is an OB/GYN who desires Tessa, one of his happily married patients. While lusting after her, Jordon hooks up with many women, earning himself a reputation of being a player. Realizing that Tessa could never be his, Jordon decides to take some time off work and heads to Maui on vacation. There he meets Aubrey who lives on the island and has a remarkable likeness to Tessa. Jordon and Aubrey spend all of his vacation time together before he has to return home. When Aubrey comes to visit Jordon, it causes all sorts of problems and things get out of control.
The Girl of his Dreams is the first book in the Bachelor series by author Janet Nissenson. The storyline has a romance element as well as a suspense element. It sort of felt like I was reading two books in one. One being Jordon and Aubrey’s story, then the second being Aubrey and Tessa’s story. I enjoyed both storylines and was engrossed from the very beginning.
Overall, this was a sweet and touching romance with several twists.
