How much weight can a man take on his shoulders before he buckles?
Blue’s life is in shambles.
He has to fight off his MC brotherhood on a drug problem threatening his town, balance his time as a father while dealing with a vicious custody battle with his ex, and somehow manage the huge load of responsibilities of his job. All the while, he is fighting his attraction to the quiet shopkeeper who lives just across the street from him. The last thing he wants is to take her down with him.
Psalm’s life is uneventful.
Finally healed after the heartache of losing her husband, kind-souled Psalm throws herself into her store and rescuing dogs. Her crush on Blue can be traced back to high school so many years ago, and even after being widowed, she still carries a torch for him. From the sidelines, she aches for Blue and his children. With her caring nature, she reaches out to him, over and over again, even when he pushes her away. Is Psalm’s heart strong enough to take on this broken man and heal him?

Blue is the third book in the Dragon Runners MC series by author ML Nystrom. This book tells the story of Blue and Psalm and can be read as a standalone romance. Blue is a bit different than the other books in the series. You see, Blue is the son of Brick, the president of the Dragon Runners MC. Since his parents run the club, he is an honorary member of the club. Although he is not involved in the day to day dealings of the club since he is a deputy police officer.
Currently, Blue is divorced and has joint custody of his two children. He is trying to get full custody of them since Jonelle, his ex-wife is really bad news. As Blue fights to get his kids, the romance often takes a back seat to the drama. As the drama unfolds, I was on the edge of my seat and read it in one sitting!
I truly enjoyed this story, but I did miss the day to day life of the Dragon Runners. I’m looking forward to reading Table’s story, which is coming out in December.
A definite add to your TBR list!

“HE LOVES LONG,
LOVES HARD, BUT HE DON’T LOVE EASY.”
Katrina Vega is set
on one thing: finishing college. She’s determined not to let anything or anyone
distract her, especially not hot brooding bikers. On her mission to stay
focused, she doesn’t expect to be pulled into the fold of a motorcycle club,
let alone into the arms of Alec “Mute” Stillwater.
Unable to keep her
guard up, Katrina soon discovers that beneath the hard and rough exterior of a
family she’s grown to care for, there’s also loyalty and passion she’s envious
of. But falling for the club’s enforcer will not only threaten her plans but
quite possibly her life.

Mute is the first book in the Dragon Runners MC series as well as the debut novel for author ML Nystrom. I have been feeling in a rut lately and this book really sunk its claws into me. I fell hard, and I didn’t want the story to end. The storyline was well developed, and I was hooked from the very beginning.
In this story, Kat has had a rough childhood and is doing the best she can to put herself through nursing school. She lives paycheck to paycheck and was looking for a new job. Luckily, Kat was able to get a new job at the River’s Edge Bar, which is owned and run by the Dragon Runners MC. Mute is the MCs enforcer and works at the bar as the bouncer. He is unable to speak due to a horrible accident when he was younger. Mute and Kat have fought their attraction to each other but eventually was unable to ignore their pull on each other.
Absolutely loved this story and can’t wait for Stud, the next book in the series!
5+ Hearts!

I have been looking forward to Stud, the second novel in the Dragon Runners MC series by author M.L. Nystrom. I love Ms. Nystrom’s debut novel, Mute, which is the first book in the series. Stud plays a pretty big part within Mute, and I just couldn’t wait to read his story. I believe you can read Stud as a standalone romance, although starting from the beginning will help you to fully understand the backstories. Just know that it’s not mandatory.
Stud is such a playboy, and I wasn’t sure who could tame his active social life. When we were introduced to Eva, I immediately loved her. She has five older brothers and works with them in a construction business with their dad. She has had to fight to prove herself throughout her whole life, and I knew she would be perfect for Stud. There were a couple interesting things we find out about Stud, and I just love how Eva always knew what to say.
The storyline was engaging, and I was drawn in from the very first page!
